The Challenge

Fifteen-year old, Kristina Coia was the author of the fantasy books, “Lymeria” and “Falcon’s Prey”. She also is the founder of the “Shine Through”, a character development program designed for girls in grades K to 8.  Kristina was seeking to create a public awareness of her books and Shine Through.  Particularly, she sought national media coverage and a heavy concentration of media coverage in the New York City, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets.

The Solution

Strategic Vision PR Group launched a comprehensive media campaign that included media interviews, book reviews, social media, book events, and speaking engagements.  The story angle developed was to tie-in the books and Shine Through with the color purple.  Part of the Shine Through program deals with a purple wig and the color purple plays a prominent role in the two books.  Using this concept and the unique concept of a fifteen year old who was doing so much and achieving so much at her age.
