Motivation Publishing was launching their Decide Better! books on decision-making and sought to penetrate the book market using brand identity to spur readers to seek out the books.  Further, Motivation Publishing wanted the author, Michael McGrath, branded in the public’s consciousness as the decision guru.

The book series consisted of three books with different target audiences:

  • “Decide Better! For A Better Life” was designed to assist people in making better decisions in their daily lives.
  • “Decide Better! For College” was intended to assist parents and students with the crucial decisions that are faced by both before and during college.
  • “Business Decisions!” was written for CEOs and senior corporate managers in developing and implementing better decisions in their business practices.


Strategic Vision LLC developed a comprehensive public relations strategy that included traditional media, book industry events, speaking engagements, award nominations and social media.


Strategic Vision LLC and Motivation Publishing introduced the book series at BookExpo America.

Following its introduction, Strategic Vision obtained coverage for the author and the books on ABC News Now, CNBC, FOX Business Network, CNN, PBS’ “Tim Janis’ Celebrate America,” CNN International, local television affiliates in Boston, Dallas, and Houston, Voice of America, CNN Radio, Woman’s World magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, Publishers Weekly, the New York Post, The Boston Globe, the Star Tribune, The Dallas Morning News, the Boston Herald, the Chicago Tribune, Investor’s Business Daily, Bloomberg News, Les Affaires, USA Today, the Associated Press, The San Diego Union-Tribune, CBS Radio, Forbes, Black Enterprise magazine, DailyFinance, The Washington Times,  The Telegraph of Nashua, N.H., Canadian Business magazine, The Star-Ledger, The Wall Street Journal, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and several hundred radio stations.

The agency also developed and implemented a social media campaign for the series on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

McGrath, the author and decision guru, spoke at Dallas Blue, the CEO Roundtable, and several publishing associations across the nation.

“Decide Better! For A Better Life” was selected as a finalist for the coveted Benjamin Franklin Award, a ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award, and a Next Generation Indie Award.  It also was nominated for the Boston Author’s Club Book Award, a National Book Award, and an Eric Hoffer Award.

“Decide Better! For College!” won the iParenting Media Award and the Best BooksAward.  It also was a finalist for the ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award.  In addition, Amazon ranked it as No. 1 in three College categories and No. 129 in Books.

“Business Decisions!” was a finalist for the ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award and it earned endorsements from prominent business leaders, including Indra K. Nooyi, chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo Inc., and Robert Crandall, former chief executive officer and chairman of American Airlines.
